Maxillofacial trauma, is any physical trauma to the face involving fractures of the facial bones such as the upper jaw, lower jaw, cheek, nose, eye socket, or forehead and soft tissue injuries such as abrasions, lacerations, avulsions, bruises, burns and cold injuries.
